Back on topic(kind of)...so dogs, they wouldn't be able to identify a few grams of fungi mixed into say, peanut butter, or honey?..gift wrapped and sent as a Christmas present? Especially a gift basket with smoked meats and cheeses included...hypothetically speaking.

Pigs have an innate interest in hunting truffles, thus they are ideal for hunting truffles because they do not need to be trained (but they may eat the truffles!), however, dogs are easier to train than pigs. So in the case of hunting actives, which pigs are not particularly interested in, dogs are ideal.... or you can learn to LOOK for them.
