A Growing Dilemma...
    #766275 - 07/22/02 12:24 AM (21 years, 8 months ago)

Hi people,
I have a little Dilemma,
2 cakes are sitting in my terrarium looking a bit blue after giving me two nice first flushes. But I have to go on holiday for a week tomorrow and just noticed that both cakes are now starting their second flush with about five 1 inch shrooms on each cake. What im worried about is whether these shrooms are gonna be old and dead when I come back if I leave them to grow(Im using the manual perlite method in the terrarium), in which case i'll pick em tonight and dry em before I leave. Or Is picking them when they are this young bad?
I dont know what to do....

hopefully you guys/gals can share your views
thanks alot

Definitely pick them before you leave. In 1 week you would only find a black moldy mess left...

Okay, Thanks Anno,
Its a shame cause I would've liked to have grown them some more but I suppose I do have six jars in my cupboard pretty much all fully colonised so I guess I'll let them go...

...Damn those Golden Teachers are colourful
