Growth spurt after a few picked?

I picked about 4 shrooms off my grow bag yesterday (The veils were almost breaking). I then took them, had a very insightful trip (though I had eaten a peperami flamestick earlier so the come up made me feel quite sick and gave me heartburn). When I got back after about 6 hours I looked at the grow bag and was amazed, in the 6 hours I was gone all of the shrooms had grown about an inch and a half taller, at first I though I was still high but this morning they were even bigger. I was wondering if its possible the mycelium actually reacted to some of them being picked and started speeding up its growth, I dunno thats just one thought, any insight would be appreciated

Yep, pretty commmon. If you take away some of the larger shrooms that are drawing nutrients and water from the mycelium network, then the myc can pour them into the rest of the crop...hence the faster growth.

I was wondering about that myself. On one of my cakes I got 4 fatties, a few that are medium sized and several babies. Can't wait to eat those bad boys!
