How do you know when a casing is useless? I have had 2 flushes on my pesa casing, but i see no new pins comming up.
Is there a certian amount of weeks to wait or how do you know when a casing will produce no more?

A casing doesnt produce it just sits there and absorbs moisture.

xaxphaanes: how do u feel about scraping and applying a new casing?
With my B+ grow I dunked between every flush. After the 2nd one.. I really didnt get shit anymore. Would a new casing have been better than just dunking again?

what i meant by casing is a bakepan with verm on bottom, crumbled wbs on top and a 50/50 casing mixture that I purchased on top.
I mean once you have a good myc network in your baking pan, cann you coax it to produce for unlimited flushes or what?
I had my 2 flushes, the second was about half as many shrooms as the first but they were twice the size.
If I leave it in my FC will it eventually produce more pins? How long should i wait until I know its spent? I have cakes that I could put in that space

Once it uses all the nutes its over. You know its spent when you dont get any more boomers. Usually I got 3 or 4 flushes. You could still get more, but its really not worth it when you could get a brand new batch in the same amount of time.

i don't want to scrap it early if it will produce even 1 shroom.
how many days should i wait for pins before i trash it?

You should get like 10 flushes from it but after 2 it is really pointless to keep it going since you might only get 1 mushroom or a couple.I keep mine for three and then toss em.
