Are these for cakes or casings
    #7659062 - 11/20/07 01:24 PM (16 years, 2 months ago)

my friend ordered these and wants to know if they are used like traditional cakes or if it used as a grain. all the site says is fortified nutrients and peanut meal.

they're for cakes. You can tell cuz they're filled to the top. You could have made the same thing for a few bucks under 20.

i'd rather spend 20 bucks on a yacht and sell it(or use the jars and drinking glasses, eat the rice and give the verm to a neighborhood gardener) than 70 bucks on a dingy and not be happy with my hobby.

my 2 cents

ok........yeah i agree i told him he could use my pressure cooker but hes his own person so whatever. However i have a little problem with these jars. As you can see they are using cotton for the air exchange i understand but with the jars being filled to the top could the cotton on the inside part of the jar cause complications involving mold and contams if it gets wet.

friends don't let friends buy from non shroomery vendors. You should have been a good friend and made him some jars so he could see what its like before letting him blow 70 bucks.

well he actually spent 40 he only got 12 jars and i told him id do it but he thought it simpler to buy one thing being the jars instead of purchasing jars, vermiculite, brown rice flour, and all the other stuff but like i said he is only tryin it out it may be a one time thing. but he rest assured me that if he continues he will let me show him the preperation of jars. i jus hope the whole cotton thing dont fuck up his project because that will be one less shroomer.

Cotton will fuck up your project. Polyfill on the other hand will not.
