I plated halo at a friends house a few times, I got so lost..on the game, plus i dont see what the big deal is anyway? I don't think the game is that exiting anyway...but that is just my opinon.

the glow with halo has faded, as it always does - it's still fun as hell to pick up a game for a little bit once in a while though. just don't waste too much time on it, there's a lot better stuff you can spend your time on

halo3 is a lot of fun IMHO.. i get on there and play with some friends that i hardly ever get to see IRL
as far as FPS multiplayer games go though, TF2 is by far my weakness... i am unemployed as a motherfucker around the holiday season and these video games sure as hell help me save some $$$ to spend on things like alcohol and rent.
the only way to play ANY shooter is online though, anything else is just too predictable/redundant.

Halo 3 does have its issues, the melee system I would say is the biggest, but come on, Gears of War online SUCKS BALLS. The campaign was fun, but the multi player is TERRIBLE!
I think I liked Halo 2 best of the series, but 3 isn't THAT bad.

That's because dust2 is the most overplayed map in existence 
But I still like it. As long as it's a no-AWP server...the AWP ruined that game.

I remember when that came out and everyone started saying it on there...
I used to play on average about 2 hours a day, usually after work in the late evening was best. Played for 5 years (2001-'06), since 1.4 and the old cs. I thought CS:Source was better than the first, even though the original was "The Original".

I can't believe no one has mentioned Half-Life 2.
IMO Half-Life and Half-Life 2 beat the shit out of all the Halo games. In fact I think Halo borrowed heavily from the Half-Life games.
CS and CS: Source are classic, and extremely well made. Team Fortress 2 is slick and a hell of a lot of fun as well.. my current addiction 
Portal is fucking awesome as well
