    #7656624 - 11/19/07 08:11 PM (16 years, 2 months ago)

so whats everyones plans for turkey day??

usually thanksgiving isn't that big of deal in my family
this year it actually falls on my birthday ahah. happens like every few years or so
going up to door county wisc. with extended family for the long weekend in a nice resort. should be good and a NICE break from school.
considering bringing a little lsd with me, just incase I can get away.
oh man just wanna drop like one tab and sit in the steam room/hot tub/pool area for endless hours

I'm gonna eat some turkey and pass the fuck out. Same thing I do every year.

Turkey day's just not good for any kind of trippin' or anything IMO. You have to eat way too much.

I'll be heading back home to Sacramento(well, I guess it's just my parents' home now). Every year, there's this group of family friends we get together with for Thanksgiving. Basically these are people who my parents were friends with before I was born, as well as their children, who I grew up with. Anyway, I look forward to old friends, lots of food, fine wine, and a good time.

Eat lots of food. Hang out with the family for a bit and then go out and get fucked up with all my friends back home who I have not seen since september. Try to fuck this chick who is still a senior in HS. That would be glorious.

neither am i, but this is the best one because i dont have to deal with any weird relatives, any at all, cept for immediate family, hence getting high in the house and having a great fuckin time ! GREAT FOOD ! AHHHHHH cant wait. thanksgiving has gotta be one of the better holidays. christmas is ruined by weird relatives i dont wanna have contact with.

its not really about conforming. its more like good food and a nice cozy family day, not much more than that

i disagree. all holidays are formed out of a consensus. if nobody were to conform to these collective beliefs, then there would be no holidays to begin with.

i do like the coziness though.

I agree with you
but for a Holiday like thanksgiving, all you're really conforming to is having dinner with your family
and its a nice festivity so who cares
the only real profit out of the holiday is seling more turkeys. which is minuscule compared to christmas and that who truckload of bullshit thats on tv and in all the stores

I hope this is coherent, I ate two ambiens and feel my Brain ishazy very atm, kind of out of it

i'm really looking forward to just relaxing. eating like crazy, spending time with the family, not worrying about work or school for a solid 2 days, before i have to come back to reality and start another term paper and some econ homework.

i'm feeling really, really ready for this break. fuck, so ready. but i've got another late late night ahead of me. i've got homework to catch up on after having neglected everything else last week for my paper. soon. so very soon.

no family here, so its all about the close friends.....

one family has claimed thanksgiving as their hosting holiday. she's gonna be preparing a feast. there will be plenty of booze throughout and smelly herbs after the kids are in bed (or...... thoroughly distracted!). then we camp out in their yard so we don't have to drive home afterwards. and the weather should be nice :-)
