Next time you guys drink, do a search on egg-white clarification of the brew-- it removes the tannins, which cause the ugly, bitter taste and also significantly contribute to the undigestability (read: diarrhea ) of brew.
Use that technique while preparing, and you end up with a beautiful, see-through ruby drink. The taste is awesome as well

hey you guys, Aya doesn't have to taste like fermented jungle rot! I wouldn't have believed without seeing it, but its true! Try adding a healthy chunk of stevia leaf and rose petals to the brew next time, and just go a little easy on the vinegar, or use lime juice.
this may not work with MHRB, but that's not aya, anyway; that shit is so horrible, I can't understand why its used so much. Go with chacruna and chaliponga leaf; they are much easier on the stomach and palate.

Here's what I think from best tasting to worst:
1. Blended up unboiled cactus (not bad at all, just cumbersome to get down) 2. Caapi brew (the taste has actually grown on me) 3. Boiled down cactus tea (putrid mcnastyness, I'm doing the capsule thing next time)
Mimosa and Viridis brew I find to be about equally bad. Those might be the worst of all or at least tied with #3. And I know you're not really supposed to consume a whole blender full of cactus but I have and that's what I think.
