Hey everyone, first of all I want to thank everybody here for the support and the useful data. I would have never got this far without your help. Thank yous.
OK, here goes:
1) I have 6 x 1 pint (brf PF Tek) jars fully colonized. It's been sitting fully colonized for a week and a half now (incubation environment), but no pinning invitro occured. Could it be that because these are very big jars they take longer to colonize the inside of the jars?
2) I want to birth-dunk-and-roll them. Should I wait further for pinning? (the mycelium coats the whole cakes for a week and a half now, but at some places it looks very thin)
3) Winter is coming and degrees are droping. 48 to 60 fahrenheit is the forecast for this week and it's gonna get worse. I thought about heating my terrarium either with the heatbomb technique or with a heating cable stretched aroung the terrarium. Some people here say that I should not heat a terrarium and that room temp is OK, but I don't even have room temp. Should I try fruiting at first with no heating for say 2 weeks and only then, if and when nothing happens cold shock and fruit heated?
thanks in advance, Scilderij from Sloterdijk

Cold shocking is bad for most cubes so I've come to understand. Don't do it. They won't like it. They sell heated fans (not space heaters) at Walmart so if you have an unused closet or cupboard, bingo. If you have full colonization on the outside and you've waited a week and a half I say they're probably good to birth, dunk, roll, maybe double end case and FC. I wouldn't try to fruit with no heat. If your room is dropping to 48 at night they won't like it.

will they survive indoor temps going from 60 at daytime to 54 at night?
after first flush, can I halt the operation until it get's warmer (regrigerate the cleaned cakes)?

They'll survive just fine, but they'll fruit ungodly slow. And happy birthday, too.

I'd recommend a TiT heater. I'd never recommend getting things down to 55 degrees. It won't kill them, but they'll barely be living. Or if you'd like space for your jars and tubs do what I do; heat the entire house from a single room that you keep at 75-80 degrees.
