Things I've really noticed
    #7651224 - 11/18/07 02:37 PM (16 years, 2 months ago)

More than anything my peace of mind has had a tendency to have nothing at all to do with what my mind is thinking.

I have found that immense thoughts of dread, persecution, terror, and paranoia, can be dissolved by eating a peach.

I have found that going for a 2 hour walk in the sun-shine can give me what would approximate the 'nirvana' that I have had a tendency to romanticize and lust after.

I have found that nothing in particular matters, life is simply rowing merrily down-stream.

I have found that ascetic yoga or other practices do not necessarily bring what is sought after, as the motives of the one seeking are immature. I have found the middle path to be most superior.

I have found that not eating, hardly anything, drinking enough water, and the practice of sun-gazing, although still too experimental for me to say that it is a holy practice as claimed, provides my body with all it needs in order to be satisfied and happy.

I have found that if I feel negative emotions, they can be quickly dissipated by dealing with where they are in the body through drinking a large amount of water and sending it there, or through singing into that area of the body with a full, loud, and strong voice.

I have found, in general and despite many claims, that peace of mind is not really about mind even as much as it is about body.

Through following an intuitive practice of giving thanks for all that you consume, including media, and assessing that if you are what you eat, what will you become by eating this, you can come to a peace that is very indeed, psychedelic like rather simply and easily.

It is positioned such that no extreme fasting is necessary. The body needs so little. Yet if one feels an impulse to gorge like silly on copious amounts of food, this, too, should be done with gusto.

It is the intuitive art of being your own authority and knowing what is right.

and though many will disagree this is the voice of the man who brought sun-gazing to the world and I see the sense in his words.

The sun is the source of all our life, and joy, and it is good and always benevolent.

I have found that simply being outdoors enough each day in the sun does a world of good.

that nothing really matters

and that most mental problems are in the body rather than in the head.

just some thoughts

I agree with much of this.
