peroxide causing yellowing?

A few nights ago I noticed cobweb growing on one side of my cake (this is more like a 5lb brick then a cake anyway). Pins were popping up all over the other side but not on the side that looked cobwebish. So I generously sprayed peroxie on it and it melted away. There is no casing either btw. Its basically sitting on perliete in a terrearium.
Anyway, after a day or so he area that I sprayed with peroxide is looking a bit yellowish. I'm assuming that this is just from the peroxide burning the myc or something? Since the cobweb went away i noticed this morning that side of the cake has started poppimg out pins too...
Am I OK here? I'm off to look you yellow molds in the contams forum I guess...

The yellowing is exactly where the peroxide was doused.

i've seen yellowing on quite a few cakes usually it was in places where the BRF was concentrated
this really doesn't have much to do with your case other than yellow can be natural, from what i see in the pic, it looks like the mushrooms don't mind it?
it could be myc piss?
i'm curious as to how you made this thing

myc piss crossed my mind but the yelloing is only where I doused with peroxide.
How I made it? It's just a simple mushbox bag that was colonized in the bag then pulled out to fruit in a terrarium

well what i was thinking is; you can't really kill cobweb mold with peroxide, you can hold it off to save flushes but the only thing i've seen actually cure cobweb is when the myc fights it off
so maybe you simply debunked the cobweb and the myc being a much stronger colony took over?

Its most likely a result of the myc being shocked by the peroxide, it could also be metobolites, they sometimes stain yellow.
I wouldnt worry about it unless it popps up again. Just remember and spray with h202 again after 12 hours to be certain u got it.

What about the effects of peroxide directly on pins? Originally when I sprayed the area there were no pins; now that the cobweb is gone pins are popping up and I'd like to try to not harm them.

Stop using peroxide, especially on the pins.

I have only used it once, and I'm not planning on using it gain unless the cobweb shows up again...
