The left, the right, and the center

i'm going to vote for kucinich, if i vote. its interesting how we now have 3 parties in the us. the left, right, and center. the democrats have "moved to the center" to try and copy the republicans and beat them in a popularity contest, when actually they are not being true to what progressive liberalism is all about. either be a democrat or not, don't be a center flip flop loser, which is what the democrats are going to do (lose) if they don't send kucinich. even if they did win, what's the point of winning if you have prostituted everything you believe in in the name of appeasing the republicans? thats the definition of a one party system

Neither the Democrats nor the Republicans are centrist enough for me.

Why bother with cute names? Call them what they are... corrupt politicians. They put the needs of their political party before the needs of the people.

they are corrupt politicians. I think republicrats implies more that they're really the same though - the mighty middle. none of them have any real ideas for changing.. they're all on the same side of every issue.

Well first off, Kucinich will lose if nominated. Everytime democrats have nominated a liberal in modern times they have lost. Anyone remember Mondale and Dukakis? Bill Clinton ran as a centrist democrat and won two terms.

Seondly, the democrats are not the only ones going centrist. The republicans are doing the same thing. Their front runner right now is Guiliani who is pro-abortion, gun control and gay rights.

So you could argue that both parties today are actually one big amorphous blob consisting of sellouts to corporate interests who don't have the American people's best interests at heart.

The people complain yet who keeps on electing them?

The mainstream media, for the most part.

take a look. what does guliani support? issues that have no economic impact on the country whatsoever. Nobody can stand up to the super companies. the bigger they are the harder they fall.

> what does guliani support

Doesn't matter what he supports. Both he and Clinton are from New York, a big money demographic. Of all campaign matches, this is the profitable venue for mainstream media and these are the two candidates that they are going to push on to the public.

Both parties are simply banners for both ends of the spectrum.

both parties now represent the same thing, but with different names.

personally, i always thought i was more of a conservative, but recently i took a university survey and found out that im slightly liberal.

the lines are blurring and the only ones who really stand out are the independents like ron paul...who i really would vote for, except that he wants to pull out of iraq, but thats for another topic.

my point is the only guys worth looking at are the ones who stick to their beliefs and never get voted on for it.
