Fresh Boletus appendiculatus.

All cleaned and ready to cook. Sorry i didn't post any pics of before i cleaned it. It was pretty big, about a 6-9 inch cap.

Anyone have any good recipes for it?

Not the same but I cooked some boletus suillus tonight. Little vegetable oil, parsley flakes, garlic powder, salt, pepper. It was surprisingly good.. or maybe it was all the garlic powder lol. Either way, great addition to steak and potatoes

It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus.
All year long, the grasshopper kept burying acorns for winter, while the
octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV.
But then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns.
Also he got a race car.
Is any of this getting through to you?

I sauteed them in butter with a ton of garlic powder as well, very tasty.

The mushrooms are those blue chips.I clean and sliced the mushroom and all the peices bruised HEAVY blue.
