Why did you case the cake instead of dunking and rolling¿?

i did dunk it. it was an experiment with peat instead of verm (all out of it) and i didn't want to roll it in peat.

pins! and is this really a casing? it's just a non-nutritious layer on top of a crumbled cake. i'm trying to get this straight because i'm thinking of going bulk (although is that possible without a pc?)

Don't quote me, but I believe it still is classified as a casing(?). And yes you can bulk without a PC, just need to pastuerize your bulk. Good luck and keep up the good work. Bulk Substrates

A casing, by common usage terms, is simply substrate with a casing layer. You have substrate (crumbled cake) and a casing layer (peat), so you have a casing.

They still have a bit to grow, as long as the moisture is there they should bulk up.
I have had a few shrooms start out that size and grow to around 10 grams fresh, from cakes.
Thats a very nice pinset for a crumbled cake . ARe you keeping them in a humidified Fruting chamber?

Yeah, i was well chuffed at my 2 10 gram fruits, had a great trip of one, then a week later had a great trip again, now im awaiting my next flush
I tend to go a bit overboard, so i do my grow so as to have a 2 3 week period where there are no shrooms growing

two fruits and each weighed 10g wet? that kicks ass.
i thank god i don't have a constant harvest cycle, otherwise i'd trip heinously every week.
