quick check - Ganoderma sp. - Reishi?

just wasnt sure, i believe it would be Ganoderma oregonense. if not is it one of the medicinal species of ganoderma? thanks!

what tree was growing?, it was fir ?,

maybe fomitopsis if spores are brown is a good change of being ganoderma ,but if white well it look like is not too old for the unrolled margin so it may not star to produce spores yet, the cap is pretty bruise and lack or the shiny looking cap of reishi and the prominent stem,with of kind of banisher paint, . could be a ganoderma not familiar with the ones in your area.

Fomitopsis pinicola, the Red Banded Polypore.
I think it too is medicinal, but don't quote me...

thanks, i agree on Fomitopsis pinicola after doing some research as well. i got inspired after finding a ganoderma oregonense
