i liked it. i think the bassist is overplaying most of the time. it wouldnt actually sound like overplaying if it were locked in tighter with the drummer, but overall i liked the track.

i was a professional bassist for many years touring the country. that is why the bass part really stood out to me.

Oh wow, this is pretty good
Reminds me of Herbie Hancock c. Headhunters era
I'm awful at recognizing instruments, wjats the squiggily sound at the beginning
Please keep me informed of album details, this sounds like lovely chill music

Hey I really liked it. I didn't sense any overplaying on the bass, but for me it would have been better just instrumental. Twas an awesome listening experience though

thanks guys
yeah im a fan of instramentals. but i gotta have at leased some lyrical songs. even if they are concise
thanks for the support guys. it means alot to find that people enjoy my grooves as much as i do
and hyer panda go thats my bass
pretty much all the weird sounds are just my basss through my effects prosseser. i do have a tendency to overkill the envelope filter thats what makes it sound "bubbly" but i just love envelope sooo much
again thanks dudes

Half makes me want to take up bass (partly because I doubt I'll ever be able to learn the cello, and everyone and their brother has a guitar)

you should definitely pick up bass. there is nothing like falling so deep in the pocket you cant fuck up or not groove.
a guy i used to tour with played trumpet for carlos santana. he said that carlos was talking about bass one night. carlos said that the main difference between bass and guitar is the when a guitarist gets done ripping a huge solo, all the guys in the audience and screaming and cheering. but if the bassist is throwing down a monster groove, all the women in the audience are moving their hips... which would you rather make happen?

Hmm, does a bass NEED an amp?
I would have to practice in a dorm, not sure if anyone would accept that

I tell everyone this, but the easiest way to learn guitar and bass is to take up classical guitar. Classical guitar is quite hard, but if you practice with it, in 2 years time you will be a good guitar player. It really develops your guitar skill, the only thing I had to learn when going to electric guitar was how to improv. I already had the speed to solo, and the skill to play hard songs. I had to learn how to use a pick though, but honestly I prefer no pick as you can use multiple fingers although its harder to play really fast. A bass though you will be good to go immediately, going from a classical guitar to a bass is a very easy transition and you will have your finger picking control down perfectly allowing you to play grooves that are fairly complex. And honestly when you are by yourself, classical for me is the most fun to play as it is the most emotive. You can play a Bach piece with multiple voices that to me sounds more interesting than playing an electric guitar. With a band though electric instruments are still the tops
