degenerated pf strain

ive been getting consistently terrible flushes out of my mmgg-style cakes ever since i started growing last august. at first i thought i was just a bad grower, even when i saw the notice on the pf website. now im not so sure. has anybody else grown with the bad spores? have any of you requested a replacement syringe? how would i know if theyre thae bad spores or not? heres a pic:

How fresh are the spores? PF claims to have fixed this.

they are fresh. the box was postmarked august 30th 2001 and i grew my first batch in september. since then ive been making spore prints and syringes so the cake that you see is second generation- from the first spore print i ever made on october 18th.

If I am correct, this was a recent issue. If you got them in Aug 01 they may very well be the degenerated strain. I am not 100% sure though. PM Hippie3 he will know.
