OK, I'm very new to all of this, and was wondering if you can just grind the seeds into a powder and just take it by mixing it with a drink or something ? Is that possible? Thanks

Yes, but make sure they aren't coated with anything like an anti-fungal or similar sprays to discourage this practice of eating them.
Make sure you grind them to a powder, more surface area, the better.
They really played a number on my stomach so get ready for that.

regular morning glory seeds ground into a powder will make you trip? no further processing necessary?
how much do you need?
I'm guessing it's best to get seeds from a plant you've grown rather than out of a seed packet from the store.
what's it like? I'm surprised morning glories weren't banned.

thats not a great way to make friends. its also courteous to use a search engine or search the forums before posting, as this is an easily answerable question.
but yes, just grinding it will do.

I should have searched you're right.
I was unaware that the lsa I've seen discussed was found in morning glory seeds. now I'm interested.
I guess my take on forums like these is that my stupid question does no harm to anyone, if you think I'm stupid fine, ignore me.
his response to me was half kind and half ridiculously pissy. I'll get over it.

ok from what i have researched and even read in wikpedia it tells you that "Extraction:
LSA can be extracted from morning glory seeds or Hawaiian baby woodrose seeds with the following methods: Crushing the seeds to a fine powder and placing them in a closed container with methanol. (Alternatives to methanol are ethanol and acetone.) The container is then kept in a dark place at room temperature for two days. During this period, the liquid can be poured through a coffee filter 1 to 2 times into another container. The powdered seeds are then brought back to the original container which is refilled with solvent. After 2 days, the liquid is filtered a final time. The powder can be further extracted using chemicals like dilute hydrochloric acid and dichloromethane - but this is not really necessary. After filtration, the yellow liquid in the second container must dry for a couple of hours. It is very important that the solvent evaporates - especially if methanol has been used since methanol is toxic for the human body. Acetone exists in the human body at very low levels, but shouldn't be consumed nevertheless - let everything vaporize if you have plans to consume the LSA extract.
In the case of Hawaiian Baby Woodrose seeds, when the chemical is not extracted and the seeds are consumed whole, nausea is experienced by almost every user, varying in duration and severity from brief and mild to intense and prolonged. This is due to the presence of cyanogenic glycosides, chemicals which coat the seed and easily irritate the stomach. Many users report this is at least partially alleviated by scraping the skin of the seeds down to reveal the light brown color underneath and perhaps subsequently rinsing the seeds with water thereafter. Other users report no change in the degree of nausea experienced when following this method.
Consuming the seeds on an empty stomach is always advisable as it will markedly reduce the chances of vomiting."
