why is my Psychotria yellow and scraggly? and before you ask, yes, i am almost too ashamed to show it (looks pretty bad).
a few notes: it was rooted as a stem cutting a few months ago it was put into fresh MG potting soil and kept in the shade watered regularly, but no fertilizer, b/c it's in MG soil please ignore the brown spots, those are from cold it has been relentlessly focusing on flowering and ignoring vegetative growth

i am guessing lighting and nutrients issues. give it a feed and let us know what your lighting it with. im not sure though, just a guess.

are you indoor or outdoor? depending on the temperature it might be climate related?

it's outdoors, and so only receiving sunlight (but in shade). i'm in Zone 7 southeast USA, and it's been a very dry summer (although i've watered it regularly). i'm thinking possibly low humidity though, due to the severe drought.

maybe feeding it the wrong PH water?? also bugs love Psychotria.. check the underside of leaves for tiny mites.

Check for mites and what ferts are you giving it? They do need ferts. It could be a nitrogen deficiency. Give it a complete fertilizer now and at least once a month.
