Growing psilocybe semilanceata (liberty cap)?
    #7642892 - 11/16/07 03:08 AM (16 years, 2 months ago)

The liberty cap is a mushroom found in the wild in the subarctic regions of the Northern Hemisphere such as Europe and North America.
I do live in this area but I don't want to hunt this mushroom, so I wondered if it can be grown.
Strangely I did not find any vendor selling spore syringes or prints of this species. Why is that? Is it too difficult to grow the liberty cap or what?

i think it requires a diff growing method since it grows naturally in grass soil instead of dung/wood.
also im not 100% sure but i think has a very long period between pinning

Thanks Enothe, your answer makes sense. It's a pity they can't be grown easily, cuz they look great!
