last rains : 5-6 days
location:placer countyNorth California
Habitat: coniferus wood mulch on forrest floor.
scattered to clustered, very small to tiny caps
PILEUS:Sticky, Conical, some with nipple at top, faint lines running from nipple to margin color:tan to brown Margin:incurved
GILLS: close cant tell if they're attached (too small) color:off white to gray
STIPE:long, skinny, off white to brown, Pretty tough( i could grab stipe below cap and pull them out without it breaking) Rhizomes at base
Bruising: Heavy bluish green(Completely blue after a few minutes) on 1 of the stipes at the base. (i picked this single one in a different location, but it looks identical to the rest).
They don't really look like p. Pelliculosa in my book, but the nipple, cap shape, and blue bruising made me think i should at least post an ID request.

Bluing is in the blue circle

What is the spore print color?
Do they all turn blue, or just the one?
The description of Psilocybe pelliculosa says the margin is not usually incurved.

just the one but it looks identical to the rest. Printing them now.
The margin in the pic in my book looks almost like it sticks straight out.It also says tan gills darkening with age, these are an off white gray.
Like i said i wouldn't think this is P. peliculosa but it bruised blue and has a nipple on the cap.

There are confilicting reports about its edibility. I've heard that it contains psilocybin, but I've also heard that it doesn't. Some mycenas also contain muscarine poisons. I wouldn't be surprised if they did contain psilocybin, however don't eat em. Did they bruise blue, or were they already blue? Can you get more and find a better camera? Also, if you get more try sporeprinting some on black paper and others on white paper, with a cup over the caps to help them stay moist while printing. Those shrooms are interesting.

There are shitload i live on the edge of a forest, but only the one i picked in a differnet location bruised blue (bruised, wasn't already blue) I've never heard of a mycena even possibly containing any psilocybin. Yes i cna get more nad print them.
No i can't get a better camera or i would have already.
anyways it look like it's not worth my time for anything more than knowledge, even if it contained psilocybin what would i need to dose, 5,000 of the little bastards?

Yeah, they wouldn't really be worth tripping off of. It is fucking cool finding rare species like that though. If you feel like figuring out what they are though, you need a spore print. Good luck.
