Is there anything I can do to stop it spreading? Read on the website that they can sometimes continue growing regardless.

you can cut out around the green, then fill the hole with salt to halt the growth. if it looks like this you have to hurry, it grow FAST!!!!
And try not to disturb it! it will only spread it's spores!

Unfortunately you're probably going to be more likely to spread the spores of the trich around whenever you try to remove it... and it's a long shot anyway. You definitely don't want this thing spreading its spawn anywhere near where you grow mushrooms. It's your call, you can try the suggestions above for emergency patching... but do be careful... you may ruin other current/future grows if you aren't. Good luck!

Its much easier to just scrap it, then clean up ur grow area than to try and fight it, then to later find that u got more growing elsewhere.
If u can see green, then its alread sporolated meaning thousands and thousands and thousands of the buggers.

I used to take a pvc pipe dissinfect it, and then Clam digger it around the infected area, worked great for awhile, then didn't work anymore and everything got hit with trich for quite awhile. I suggest Bag it and toss it, unless you want to battle with trich in the future, which is a pain in the ass (hepafilter helps alot)

Abandon all hope. You'll definitely regret it later if you don't scrap it now.
