hey everyone,
ive been away from the community for the past week or so. i wrecked and totaled out my truck sunday the 4th. i was in the hospital for a week under surgery, and heavy anestesia. then went to my moms to recover for a lil. now im home for the day and figured id say hi.
its strange tho, as close as i was to death, (and i was very close)my truck was closed in around me like i had a force field epidermis, i dont feel any different. i dont know if theres something wrong with me, or if im just numb to life anymore. but i didnt wake up thankful i was still alive, i didnt have any epiphany, and my life was nearly taken from me, but i was spared. obviously for something great, but i havent started living any differently...i just dont get it.
anyway, i am thankful to still be here, i have a wonderful family, great friends, and a girlfriend i plan on making my wife someday. i just feel guilty for not being more greatful.

glad you made it. i had a very bad accident in florida once too. it was amazing i did not die or even get injured. i was parked in the center lane (passed out from too many drugs) on I-75 in the middle of the night and a guy with a big truck and trailer slammed into my vehicle going 80+ mph.

i was young wreckless and being stupid. i was on x and xanax and booze and smoking a spliff on my way home from a rave in sarasota. learned a lot about how stupid it is to drive under the influence i can tell you that much. people who do that stuff deserve to go to jail, and i did.

yeah, i dont drink and drive normally, i was at a bar, i got too drunk to remember anyhting and had no one around and didnt have the sense to call anyone for a ride.
im sorry to hear about your friends, and i know how lucky i am to not have killed anyone, but you still shouldnt wish missfortune on anyone. i made a terrible mistake and im the only one who was injured. i understand that i wrecked the other persons vehicle as well which im sure slowed them down and is a major pain in the ass for them, as well as frightening, but....i dont know....i dknot know if im lookin at jail time, its my first dui, and right now im not sure what the police are going to do. i dont even know if they gave me a dui, but i was blacked out long b4 i even left the bar, so im sure if they made me take a breathalizer, that i blew straight alcohol. my insurance inst gonna cover me bcuz the alcohol. and i had just lost my job and hadnt signed up for cobra yet so my health insurance isnt covering me either....i royally fucked up, and thats why im in such shock that im not more greatful, but its like i woke up to a nightmare. i suppose its all a test.
again man, i really wish youd take back what you said, but everyones entitled to their own, and if thats how you feel, i cant change it no matter what i say.

I don't understand how people of any age can continue driving under the influence when we are constantly reminded of the dangers it poses not only to ourselves but to everyone on the road: young, old, children, infants. I know that I made a strong conscious decision when I was about 12 that I would never do something as stupid, reckless and selfish as driving drunk (or high, or whatever). So, why were you driving?
Anyways, I'm happy to hear that no one was killed. Maybe the lesson or epiphany that you can take from this is that you have every right to destroy yourself, but when your thoughtless actions endanger other people's lives, you may need to seriously reconsider how you're living and what needs to change.

No sympathy for a drunk driver, sorry.

please enlighten me how one parks in the middle of a highway? if anything I would think you would veer off the road but dude you must be pretty dense to stop your car in the middle of a highway, put it in park and pass out you deserved whatever came your way
to original poster - you're fucking lucky the people you hit didnt get hurt or die, because you son, would be fucked

I made a bad car accident in the beginning of last spring too. I was driving from inland to seashore. It was early morning hours and so I drove a bit faster. So I went into long curve which was the first one with open view to the sea with 50-55 Mph and on my way out of the curve as I wanted to accelerate the car lost total control and slammed into nearest lamppost. It came out that the in starting from that curve the road was covered with thin layer of ice. I didn't get a scratch, but the car was totally wrecked. I just happed dropped off my friend, and if he'd been with me he'd probably would be dead because the passengers door came all the way to gear shifter. I hadn't been drinking, but was quite blazed when it all happened and the hit got me sober at once.

I wouldn't blame the weed. It was just bad coincidence. I was driving at such time in the area for the first time and no way could predict that it was so damn slippery.
I have no idea where my avatar is originally from.
