Hey every peoples out there.
Spill a rant on what you think importance is. And how it relates to your life.
Im writing something that is about importance and would love to get some feeding of new thoughts from all.
Lovely peace.
-------------------- The mind is a creative tool. It searches to protect you, through message sensations(feelings). It is no different than a computer, you need to make sure its anti-virus program is in check and that it doesnt have a script that limits your experience, because of to much precaution. And remember the computer does not appear to respond to words of anger and frustration - just give it input, in the form of new meanings that you know to be true and its messages to you and the limits it lays out for you, will change. Guilt is an outcome of believing you are the cause of the problems. Yet, we are not a cause to something, we see is negative or bad - Unless you believe your intentions are directed towards a bad outcome....

only you can dictate what is important to you.
-------------------- Man is timid and apologetic; he is no longer upright; he dares not say "I think," "I am," but quotes some saint or sage. He is ashamed before the blade of grass or the blowing rose.Man postpones or remembers; he does not live in the present, but with reverted eye laments the past, or, heedless of the riches that surround him, stands on tiptoe to foresee the future. He cannot be happy and strong until he too lives with nature in the present, above time TRANSCEND

if so, how is it of any importance?

What's relatively important is being kind, compassionate, open to new experiences, cultivating a questioning mind about the culture around you, discovering inner stillness.
What's ultimately important? Nothing.
(In my totally uninformed opinion.)
-------------------- “Strengthened by contemplation and study, I will not fear my passions like a coward. My body I will give to pleasures, to diversions that I’ve dreamed of, to the most daring erotic desires, to the lustful impulses of my blood, without any fear at all, for whenever I will— and I will have the will, strengthened as I’ll be with contemplation and study— at the crucial moments I’ll recover my spirit as was before: ascetic.”

exactly, nothing is important. aside from breathing.

If cultivating inner stillness and knowledge of oneself can lead to complete understanding of the self, God and others, then that and any other means to achieve that ARE important.
Nothing, being exclusively nothing, is NOT important, though I believe man can deceive himself in this regard.
If by "Ultimate" one means something beyond quantification rather then the pinnicle of something, then it would be beyond the concept of important because there would be no comparison.
So I think anything can lead one to divine union is important.
