outdoor African in an Ozarka bottle

I cut a 5 gallon Ozarka water dispenser bottle in half, cased with African spawn and put outside next to my indian tobacco.

notice the size of the tobacco as the photos go on..

and here are the results

Im so happy with the results. Pretty simple way of growing. The main idea was inspired by the dry texas heat. Figured this would be a relatively self-maintained mushroom grow. Thanks Norom for the print

Nice job. I enjoy growing the African strain. What material did you use for your casing layer? Looks unusual.

i would suggest that next time you wrap the botton 1/4 of the jug in a black trash bag. That way the shroomies stop poking out the sides like that.

whoa. it looks like you cut the stems and left some in the substrate. you should always carefully twist and pluck. those left over pieces might rot and ruin any subsequent flushes.
other than that, it looks like you have an awesome grow there. 2 thumbs up
