but i think it may be ready to be harvested
according to the internets it seems ready
but id thought id get a humans opinon
so i have some pictures of leon (if you get the reference you are awesome)
it looks dark but thats because i need to lower the exposure otherwise it would be a orange blur

whatd do ya think?
and also
theoretically would i be able to cut off the mature buds and still let the others grow more
just for a taste

It's not even closet to being ready.
If you don't have a microscope to check out the trichomes to determine when to harvest, harvest when 50% - 80% of the pistils have changed from white to red/brown.
She's not ready yet man.

what looks bad about it?
again, the color is distorted because of the light and the camera
ill take some more pictures with a white light
then you can be the judge
also, id like to know if it is possible to take off mature buds and let the others keep growing

I Agree with Synthettek
Wait until 2/3 of the pistils turn from white to redish brown. Also, if you can take a microscope and examine one of the buds and look at the trichomes. How long has it been in flowering (12/12 Light) Do you now what strain it is or is it bagseed? (Indica or Sativa Dominant)

Yes you can harvest the top cola first and let the lower branches finish up for another week. But your not going to be harvesting any time soon, it still has some time to go.
But you can a little later into flowering snip off one of the lower tiny buds and manicure it and throw it into the microwave for a few minutes. Just for a taste.
I suggest just have some patience and let the plant finish.

no it doesnt, it looks fine for the setup he is using.
your plant still has a little while to go sirbojangles, u need to wait until a good percentage of the yellow pistils have turned orange/brown, like others said.

Does not look ready, hopefully it will put on some more weight in the mean time anyway. What kind of lights are you using? Anyway, pistil coloring is a decent way to figure out if the plant is ready. Like at 75% ish brown. Probably the better way is trichome coloring. Crystal clear is probably early. Milky is a good harvest time. Amber is an indicator that its too mature.
Some people harvest differently for different preferences. Clearer the trichs the more "heady" the high some say, amber and the more "couch locky"
Hope that helps

Heya,
Optimal light/darkness cycle is 12/12 for most Cannabis plants for flowering. Autoflowering varieties usually are kept on 18/6..
If you have had time to grow it that far a few more weeks shouldn't be too much to wait, eh? It may still grow pretty well in size (at least for me it looks that way) and thc levels will go up up up.
PS. I wouldn't microwave them under any circumstances, not even to get a taste :S It's mad waste.

I would, it propably is confused on 8/16. At least more light lets the plant engage in more photosyntehis which means more growth :O
Lightning cycle is a genetic trait, unlike for example low/high humidity on which many plants can adapt to. Wrong kind of lightning cycle might turn Leon into hermaphrodite (hopefully it hasn't), but if it hasn't already and it has flowered for over a month propably it's nothing to worry about. Im not really sure is it diffrent to have much darkness than light for too long. Maybe someone else here can elaborate on that!
Hope this don't confuse you more!

You should look on MOD EDIT: NO NON SPONSOR LINKS!! for good growing information.
Also, you should "veg" a plant at 24/0 or 18/6 - those are the most common light cycles really. Just depends on if you want to keep the lights on all the time (electricity/heat).
Assuming you dont have an autoflowering strain you need to use 12/12 light cycle. I would change to 12/12 !
5 weeks or so of flowering, looks like it is pretty small for that. Anyway, good luck
