ok, i just took a break from studying for a midterm to smoke a bowl and watch some family guy, and one of the things the wife louis said in the show got me thinking
what she said was "she's spiraling out of control!" and i started thinking about how we use the shape/symbol of a spiral to explain where we are in life - spiraling up or down (although i never hear people use the term spiraling up which is weird. we dont even really have words for going up - success? evolving? anyways..)
and so i got to thinking how we can spiral up or down, and those who have spiraled down are said to be "in the darkness". but why are they in the darkness? well, light is also synonymous with love. those in the darkness are usually afraid - what are they afraid of? i think instead of loving their fear, they fear their love.
would that mean they love their fear? that would mean that those in the darkness are people who fear their love because they love their fear
fear and love.. are opposites! but they are really two ends of the same pole

you dont spiral upward b/c it goes against the flow of the shape. It naturally spirals inward.
-------------------- Man is timid and apologetic; he is no longer upright; he dares not say "I think," "I am," but quotes some saint or sage. He is ashamed before the blade of grass or the blowing rose.Man postpones or remembers; he does not live in the present, but with reverted eye laments the past, or, heedless of the riches that surround him, stands on tiptoe to foresee the future. He cannot be happy and strong until he too lives with nature in the present, above time TRANSCEND

Try writing these kind of ideas down first. Check it later when your sober 45% of the time shit won't make any sense. I do this kind of thing all the time its cool though. Glad to see people when they . lolz

from the title of this thread i thought it was going to be an embarrassing anecdote of masturbation. i have to say i am a little disappointed.
