I guess this is the worst possible time for me to say that I joined with the audience in a chorus of BOOOOOOOOOOS in 74 when Tom Waits opened for the Mothers(Frank Zappa).......What can I say except "But I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now"

yo yo, tom waits rules. though, i must say that i was a bit disappointed by the two new albums for they almost lack those typical hardcore, weird-sounding funny tunes; god's away on business & the one in german (mr hitler could perhaps learn something here) are the only exceptions. you must definitely check out bone machine, the black rider & mule variations albums..

Some of my personal favorites, although I enjoy his entire catalog! Tom Waits is beyond cool, in my book!

OK, it took me three week, but I just couldn't think of anybody that is like Tom Waits, but I was listening to Don Imus this morning while fucking around with a server, and he played some Warren Zevon. I had forgotten about him, but he has some stuff that any Waits fan would appreciate, not necessarily the "Werewolves of London" stuff, but the better stuff. Check out a sampling of Zevon's stuff, and see what you think...
