My entire indoor garden
    #7634779 - 11/14/07 12:01 PM (16 years, 2 months ago)

Is under attack by spider mites and these little white flys.

I bought a miteacide, with no avail. Help anyone?

I was told a mixture of water and soap may help?

I don't know what you have in your garden, but I have three mid-sized lophs that were getting attacked last year by some insects that were leaving a scab-like "shell" on them. I read about the chemicals and sadly came to grip with the fact that everyone said I would lose some of my plants to the chemical . . . someone suggested garlic so I tried that first. I cut it up and placed it on the soil around the lophs.
I had originally seen three insects. An hour after I placed the garlic I saw about thirty . . . all trying to get away. This year I saw another bug and did the same thing. Worked great. I doubt this would work on everything, but it certainly was a chance I took before I decided to use chemical warfare on my plants. Give it a shot.

sounds like scale

I made up some garlic spray last week and used it for mites.
however I made sure to get to the hydro shop to pick up some Take down spray. Its a Pyrethrin based spray.
