Quick phone/computer tech question

There is a motorola razor connected to this computer through USB atm... we're trying to get some pictures from this phone uploaded to the coomp. can't find a folder except the one that popped up notifying an installation was complete, but after that all signs of connection disappeared.
Where the hell are we supposed to find the razor picture folder? Do I upload it using the computer or the phone?

uhhh im not really sure. cingular, i believe. and there is no text messaging enabled on this service, so uploading pics has to be done through connecting to the comp.

Ok, that’s a pretty decent provider.
Motorola phone tools should do the trick. http://direct.motorola.com/ens/MPT/MPT_Home.asp
It costs money, I found it on a torrent site, but its a 250mb download so I cant upload it to the forums sorry.
If MPT doesn’t work, your phone needs to a seem edit in order to receive pictures and ring tones.
What is the version of your phone?
V3, V3C ect.?

heres the problem: how will it be downloaded on this phone if there is no internet service and no text messaging service enabled? LOL... this means it would have to be connected to the computer anyway. are you saying the USB cord alone is not going to be efficient enough? maybe i just need some installation program on my computer...

I'd be helpful to know for sure who your provider is.
For example, if you have Verizon, (like I do with my Razor) you’re basically fucked. MPT wont work, the phone will need a “seem edit” which you probably can’t do (no offense) I haven’t even had the energy to attempt it yet with mine.

there are so many programmers making things for phones though, you can change everything on it, the firmware, the software for the hardware like the volume can go 50x of what it is, ect, ect, ect

Your exact model should be printed on the phone under the battery.

It all has to do with the crackability of the bios that your provider has put on the phone.
If she has a provider that allows you to upload music and pix to your phone than the absolute best program for her to use is MPT.
Trust me, I’ve fucked with razors for sum 2yrs now.

The first one is a condensed version of the program, if it doesn’t work here is the full version.
Try that one first since it sounds like you’re in a hurry, if it doesn’t work here is the full program. It’s a large file.

It's actually not URGENT or anything, but I'm nodding and it's late and I would rather get this done tonight as I will be busy relocating in the next 4 days and won't have time to do this possibly for a while.

Ok, open MPT -Click Menu -Setup>General Setup -Click the Communications Tab -Click Change Modem>Next>Next Check the Box Next To "Do not automatically detect the driver, choose from a list. -Click Motorola CDMA>Then Click V3cm
Now you should be able to use the Multimedia Studio Feature on MPT
Picking the V3cm modem almost always works, you can try the V3 modem too. You will find the V modems toward the bottom of the list. Hope this helps.

i don't know much about piece of shit mobiles like motorolas but, if it has bluetooth (that's why i said piece of shit - usually with these phones it doesn't have bluetooth and it's an "extra added bonus" feature if it does) and your laptop have bluetooth, just send the pictures to your computers that way. basically if you view your photos in your phone's gallery, there should be an options menu which allows you to send it via bluetooth if enabled...or...infrared..or...usb (as what you're doing)

i figured it out (somewhat). took a long time for its efforts though. probably would have been cheaper (considering the length of time i spent on it) to just send a couple MMS'. i posted some pics in the OD section.
