Seeking Spiritual Rituals

Hey everybody, before you flame me about posting in the wrong area(some can argue). I wanted to hit a wider audience.
I'm looking for spiritual rituals, or a place where I can find some. I know that's a very vague question, but what I am specifically looking for is a ritual for spiritual healing and forgiveness.
Any help you guys can offer, would be greatly appreciated...

spiritual rituals depend a good deal on location. like desert rituals and jungle rituals. you should really be practicing the practice of your land

I have been misunderstood. I am looking for informal spiritual rituals, at this point just looking for text/guides on spiritual healing. Like saying a chant before meditation. I plan on performing this ritual before a psychedelic experience, and also a few weeks before, sober.
I know they are out there, just don't know where to look. Spiritual healing.

i suggest looking into tia chi it will help and learning to flow your chi, when tripping i find preception of chi is increased as well. As for chanting i do my personal chant that i grasp from the outside my chants depend on the day. like the one i sang a year ago is alot differnt then the one i use now. I doing my chant i take in mapacho, once it hits and im overwhelmed i just reach inside and pull out a chant and go with

I agree. Invent one for yourself. Turn a room into a place that has spiritual significance for you and create a ritual based on what you believe and how you relate to the universe.

Wont work unless you follow the guidelines above.
A personally rejuvenating or cleansing ritual or forgiveness ritual is exactly that: PERSONAL.
Unless you are following the path yourself, you become a sheep. If you are one, then Id say look into Zen buddhist rituals or native american practice.

All the successful spiritual rituals I have done resulted in something I won't try to convey, and probably can't convey...much like the idea of a 95 degree right angle in basic geometry.
They are experiences that have helped define myself, and others, and best remain locked up in the open pasture of my soul and mind. They are my unspoken tools.

also one must point out every area as i said has its own way in a sense you could say its making it up but for thigns to work effectivly you have to follow the universal rules of where you are. rituals form the way they are as a result of the universal laws

I'm glad to see so many responses, thanks guys!
Well, making my own spiritual ritual sounds cool and I definitely think I am up to task. However, this is for both my girlfriend and I-and am not sure how I would make a universal chant for both of us because I do not feel we are the same.
And she wouldn't have a clue where to start in making her own chant. She's not good at putting her thoughts into words.
I really do appreciate all the advice though, and may go about making my own ritual. As mentioned, it will add spiritual significance to my life and to my home if -I am the one who created it-.

Spiritual Healing, you say?

Sorry, it had to be said. While we're kind of on the topic, does anyone have any good links to Tai Chi videos or other resources?

i might want to point this out cause alot of people dont take this into consideration if your gona practice tia chi you really need to be able to feel the chi going thru the motions is useless unless you can feel it. aka you ball of energy, psi ball, what ever you kids are calling it these days. learning to feel that is simple i love teaching people cause they are all like oh shit this is more then just my imagination

thanks for the link. My parents have been burning sage for good luck for years! My mom used to even tell me to burn it in my car for good luck(I had just started driving back then). I've only found it at one place here where I moved and it's pretty expensive-but comes with a lot.
Definitely bookmarked that link and will incorporate it into my ritual for good luck. The good karma will come your way in result.
Also, I wanted to ask-I have some beautiful mystical music from LTJ Bukem, and Peshay from the 90s. Would it be okay to play that during the ritual, or would it be too distracting?

Yeah, I really have to agree with what most of the people here are saying. Rituals don't work because they are just magically "correct", it's because of the human minds ability to manifest thought to motion. We don't realize how much effect we can have with our minds and how powerful they really are. If you look really closely at all the miracles throughout the world and how they're related to the local religions, it gets really confusing as to which religion could be "correct", but eventually you realize that maybe these are all working because the only thing they have in common is that they all have many many believers, who put all of our their mind power ( ) into these things. You just really have to convince yourself of the power of your mind. some good things to do this with are simply speaking out loud, because we perceive sound as being so much more concrete than thought (not that that it is but we are lead to believe so). To teach myself to lucid dream I simply said outloud everynight for a few months "I am concious while dreaming and remember my dreams." repetition is also good because it makes the message natural to your body, as a common thing, and your body will easily accept the idea you are offering.
The most important thing is to believe in yourself.
Thedudenj: What techniques do you use in order to make people sensitive to Chi? I find that holding a mudra while meditating with buddhist breath makes your fingertips very energized and sensitive. Especially the common shaolin one (horizontal palm below vertical palm). I find also that simply putting your thought into a very concentrated area can move large amounts of chi into that area, which can usually make for a weird sensation in that spot. Have you ever practiced blood washing? (I believe that's the term. It's basically massaging yourself over your body to help open your chakras)

I am not actually involved in the "ritual" (your interest seemed that direction i just found the link) but I do have personal routines, and I want to add more yoga in them.
anyway I can't really say what music goes with what. but if you are practicing appreciation/respectfulness and care no harm will come from your actions.

I'm back, and although I feel more spiritual.
I am far from where I want to be. I want to be enlightened, like Sidartha Gautama(sp?). I want happiness, and the healthiest, purest mine possible.
Since I started this thread, I've been practicing Kundalini Awakening-it takes me to a calm place-but the hardest part is establishing routine.
I was thinking of possible studying the energies of Tarot cards.

Get this book: http://www.amazon.com/Mushroom-Wisdom-Cultivate-Spiritual-Consciousness/dp/1579510361/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1201504267&sr=8-1
Book Description
Mushroom Wisdom explores the universal aspects of the psilocybin mushroom experience as it relates to spirituality. Author Martin Ball explains how mushroom use can lead the spiritual seeker to profound states of self-awareness and radical understanding of the nature of the self, reality, and the sacred. Topics include looking into the spiritual mirror to uncover an authentic sense of self, developing “witness” consciousness to overcome self-limiting concepts and judgments, and removing obstacles of ego and self-induced suffering to trigger the rich experience of “spirit flow.” The book also addresses the creation and use of ritual, sacred objects, and the importance of sound and silence. Ball distinguishes between using mushrooms in spiritual work as opposed to simply having a pleasant psychedelic experience. Not a guide to how to have “fun” with psilocybin mushrooms, Mushroom Wisdom is a serious investigation into deep spiritual nature, drawing on both a wide array of scientific disciplines and ancient shamanic practices.

This last trip me and my friend did sense deprivation while I played my tablas. I'd say it was sort of a ritual, very cool and mystic. We both had mind blowing experiences.

I can understand the point of 'finding your own ritual', but sometimes its hard to even know where to begin. This site has some great rituals to get your started! (http://www.paganspath.com/meta/index.htm#howto) Find your animal guide or clear cleanse and protect your energies.
