thanks for the link. My parents have been burning sage for good luck for years! My mom used to even tell me to burn it in my car for good luck(I had just started driving back then). I've only found it at one place here where I moved and it's pretty expensive-but comes with a lot.
Definitely bookmarked that link and will incorporate it into my ritual for good luck. The good karma will come your way in result.
Also, I wanted to ask-I have some beautiful mystical music from LTJ Bukem, and Peshay from the 90s. Would it be okay to play that during the ritual, or would it be too distracting?

Yeah, I really have to agree with what most of the people here are saying. Rituals don't work because they are just magically "correct", it's because of the human minds ability to manifest thought to motion. We don't realize how much effect we can have with our minds and how powerful they really are. If you look really closely at all the miracles throughout the world and how they're related to the local religions, it gets really confusing as to which religion could be "correct", but eventually you realize that maybe these are all working because the only thing they have in common is that they all have many many believers, who put all of our their mind power ( ) into these things. You just really have to convince yourself of the power of your mind. some good things to do this with are simply speaking out loud, because we perceive sound as being so much more concrete than thought (not that that it is but we are lead to believe so). To teach myself to lucid dream I simply said outloud everynight for a few months "I am concious while dreaming and remember my dreams." repetition is also good because it makes the message natural to your body, as a common thing, and your body will easily accept the idea you are offering.
The most important thing is to believe in yourself.
Thedudenj: What techniques do you use in order to make people sensitive to Chi? I find that holding a mudra while meditating with buddhist breath makes your fingertips very energized and sensitive. Especially the common shaolin one (horizontal palm below vertical palm). I find also that simply putting your thought into a very concentrated area can move large amounts of chi into that area, which can usually make for a weird sensation in that spot. Have you ever practiced blood washing? (I believe that's the term. It's basically massaging yourself over your body to help open your chakras)

I am not actually involved in the "ritual" (your interest seemed that direction i just found the link) but I do have personal routines, and I want to add more yoga in them.
anyway I can't really say what music goes with what. but if you are practicing appreciation/respectfulness and care no harm will come from your actions.

I'm back, and although I feel more spiritual.
I am far from where I want to be. I want to be enlightened, like Sidartha Gautama(sp?). I want happiness, and the healthiest, purest mine possible.
Since I started this thread, I've been practicing Kundalini Awakening-it takes me to a calm place-but the hardest part is establishing routine.
I was thinking of possible studying the energies of Tarot cards.

greystealth said: Hey everybody, before you flame me about posting in the wrong area(some can argue). I wanted to hit a wider audience.
I'm looking for spiritual rituals, or a place where I can find some. I know that's a very vague question, but what I am specifically looking for is a ritual for spiritual healing and forgiveness.
Any help you guys can offer, would be greatly appreciated...

Book Description
Mushroom Wisdom explores the universal aspects of the psilocybin mushroom experience as it relates to spirituality. Author Martin Ball explains how mushroom use can lead the spiritual seeker to profound states of self-awareness and radical understanding of the nature of the self, reality, and the sacred. Topics include looking into the spiritual mirror to uncover an authentic sense of self, developing “witness” consciousness to overcome self-limiting concepts and judgments, and removing obstacles of ego and self-induced suffering to trigger the rich experience of “spirit flow.” The book also addresses the creation and use of ritual, sacred objects, and the importance of sound and silence. Ball distinguishes between using mushrooms in spiritual work as opposed to simply having a pleasant psychedelic experience. Not a guide to how to have “fun” with psilocybin mushrooms, Mushroom Wisdom is a serious investigation into deep spiritual nature, drawing on both a wide array of scientific disciplines and ancient shamanic practices.

This last trip me and my friend did sense deprivation while I played my tablas. I'd say it was sort of a ritual, very cool and mystic. We both had mind blowing experiences.

I can understand the point of 'finding your own ritual', but sometimes its hard to even know where to begin. This site has some great rituals to get your started! (http://www.paganspath.com/meta/index.htm#howto) Find your animal guide or clear cleanse and protect your energies.
