I definitely notice this. I also tend to take really deep breaths, and it usually feels really nice to do so.

Wow I haven't thought about this in a while but I remember finding it curious as well. Only shrooms have had this effect upon me. Come to think of it though, I don't recall getting this effect after I switched to making tea.

yup, just part of the whole process. I was under the impression that i was because your brain is trying to get more oxygen, which I guess is triggered by the shrooms somehow?

you yawn because your brain isn't getting enough oxygen, when I'm tripping I barely breathe so if you don't take full breaths that's probably why.

yeah i yawn loads. its a really nice feeling too, makes your brain go "fuzzy" for a second, then you snap back into clearness.
i have no idea as to why though.

... food poisoning? Are you talking about shrooms being a "poison"? That has nothing to do with yawning.. and I'm pretty sure I'm right about that.

Yawning is a documented physical side effect, it is mentioned even in bland literature like the Merck manual. It is not due to altered respiratory or cardio response.

The yawns let me know the shrooms are about to kick in and for a minute they can be annoying as you are not tired one bit. But once i start tripping i don't remember yawing very often even though i notice it sometimes. good times

its weird how when im sober all i think about is what im going to see on shrooms. Then when im actually tripping i dont even really notice what i see. somethings stick out and i notice them but for the most part i run around being really happy and laughing and figuring out all the answers to the world.
