Hey all... I've recently been recording some guitar music of mine onto my computer (using Sound Recorder... shiitty) and I'm wondering if anyone knows a good free mixing program, perhaps recording too. I try recording the rhythm and the lead in sound recorder and mixing them, but it's nearly impossible to get it to match up correctly.
I appreciate any help.

For recording, go with the program "Audacity". It can go longer than the 60 seconds that Windows Sound Recorder allots, and it has more options to play around with, such as precise pitch bending and tempo adjustment.
For free mixing, I'd say Mixere. There aren't many free mixing programs out there, but it'll probably take care of your needs. Here are the links for you:

yeah audacity is good, there are a few glitches and bugs but it operates fairly well its what I've used for a long time to record a bunch of stfuf.s

You can also get cubase for "free" and have the best DAW to work with
Unfortunately audacity is yet far from being at a professinal level.
