I've always enjoyed photography but I'm only just starting to try my hand at it. I reasonably satisfied with my pictures but I really feel they could be so much more.

Does anyone have any tips or tricks that could bring my work to the next level?

I have both a digital (Kodak c340) and manual (canon ae-1) and take pictures mostly of landscapes and animals

Get used to shooting 100 pictures and only getting 1 decent photo out of them all

I guess if you'd like to bring your work to your next level then the things to do should be somewhat obvious.  Always be aware of your composition, your light levels, how you want them to effect your image, consider what angles and distances would work best with your subject, etc.

I'm no professional, but those are points that keep me somewhat aligned.

Another thing I suggest is to not try reading too much into your images as you're taking them.  Some may disagree and it depends on your style I suppose, but I think you should focus on capturing an image that is nice to look at without having to think through and through about what it (usually very esoterically) "means".

Good luck :peace:

don't look for a great shot, let the shot find you.
