Ron Paul has gotten my attention. He is real on the issues and doesnt fear political isolation because of his true beliefs on subjects. I saw a video of this same gentlemen in the wheel chair ask Romney about medical marijuana, and Romney simply replied, "I dont support medical marijuana" and did not even care to give the young man a reason for his beliefs. Ron Paul has a strong internet following and just because the polls on TV right now show other candidates in the lead does not mean much. I think Ron Paul has a huge following and its very evident. I haven't seen nearly as much excitement about any other candidate!

If anyone is interested in learning about the primary voting process in their state can check out the following link to Ron Paul's official site:http://www.ronpaul2008.com/primary-and-caucus-information/
You may have to register as a Republican to vote for Ron Paul in your states primary (you can change the party after the primary in time for the general election). There are deadlines for changing party and for registering, so if anyone is serious and isn't yet set check out that link.
Godspeed!

I which he was more talented in public speaking. His speeches don't flow good which in turn breaks down his creditability. I think this is his pitfall and will likely prevent him from being elected. Who knows maybe he just bombed that speech. Hopefully he does better as the elections progress. Hell if I was bill gates I would dump half of my assets into his political campaign but I am just a poor college student. He has my vote and I will actually vote this time. Last election there was no point both candidates shared similar views and both were very unlikely to bring about the changes they promised. Bush sure didn't so I guess I should have voted for kerry who knows though maybe he would have fucked shit up more.

He speaks the truth. Which is why he'll lose. American's don't want the truth, or libery, or personal responsibility. They want lies, and security, unless they're the one's being fucked with. Bread and circuses, that's all the masses want.
We are far from our self reliant, liberty first days. Our forefathers would be imprisoned and reviled today. That's the way it is.
But it's nice to see someone speaking the truth. Even if it's inconvenient for the status quo, and unlikely to garner more than a percent of the vote.

It won't end with Ron Paul if he doesn't get elected. The whole movement is about gaining power in the government and influencing Americans and other people around the world with our principles. To me this is only the beginning of our rejuvenation, and boy do we have a great start!

You don't need a refined, polished public speaking ability to become elected, George W Bush is living proof of this.

Exactly, when was the last time you saw George W Bush field questions from the audience on the fly?

I'm really starting to like this guy...
From the beginning, it was between him and Mike Gravel for me. Of course, we all know that Mike Gravel's chances of winning the election are very, very slim, but Ron Paul is still another great candidate! I really hope he wins.

He's got my vote as well. I disagree with him on the abortion issue, but overall he definitely is the best candidate. I will be voting 2/5/08 - that is for sure. I'm really going to start spreading the word about him too. Contributions are in order as well. (don't worry shroomery is on that list too.

Wow... he really got me liking him with his more practical and reasonable views on drug issues. I checked out his website, and I also liked his views on a lot of other things like personal liberty and privacy, and American sovereignty.
Too bad his views on immigration are such a big turn off though. :-( I mean he even wants to go as far as to end birth right citizenship. If you're born in America, then are an American, right?

Ron Paul is my favorite overall... realize some of the weirder stuff is likely things he wont be able to accomplish. I mean how much could he even do with the drug policy, except what... demand the DEA stop raiding states that allow medical cannabis use? Anyway, I like him the best, he seems like the most genuine candidate that I mostly agree with. Good luck to him!

That's what it comes down to. Don't give up on Ron Paul (or other openminded candidates) just yet, but personally, I don't think they stand a chance. People don't want change, people want security. The War on Drugs, as it's called, give people a sense of unity against evil, and reminds them that their government cares about their security and well-being. And don't even get me started about media coverage, but Mr. Paul won't get a fraction of the attention as the big names like Hillary and Obama. So, keep doing what you're doing people, we have to spread the word independent of the bullshit new stations.
