Well, he was along for many rides. But this morning, my bong met its fate. Poor Captain Blu Bowls... Tipped and fell into the leg of the coffee table, top shattered. Fathead deceased. I loved that bong. Now I got nothing to smoke out of. It was my first bong! Now I have to find out which of my damn friends left the bong on the ground next to the table (who does that!?).
This isn't fair!
So let's hear some bong-breakage horror stories.

I went a period last year buying new pipes monthly. Needless to say I formed a decent relationship with my local headshop. I don't have much for horror stories since I don't tend to get very upset when a piece busts but on one occasion my dog (who was also responsible for breaking the pipe in the first place) accidentally ate a salvaged ball of resin half the size of a golf ball and was incapacitated for 16 hours after a bit of vomiting.
The one occasion I did let it get to me was most recently after I bought a BEAUTIFUL color changing glass bubbler for $20 from a new shop in town that was a mostly cigar vendor and sold his pot related stuff ridiculously cheap. A day later and the thing was shattered leaving me to angrily smash the remaining pieces on my driveway and bleed rather profusely from my hand. Luckily and surprisingly though after it all only the stem had broken off so after attaching some small rubber tubing I still have something to smoke out of.

My old roommates and I had a period last year where we broke- oh i'd put it at almost 10 bowls in the course of a few months. Usually stupid cleaning related incidents.
Or else fumbling with a bowl on exit of a vehicle after getting higher than ever before... 4 bongs+5 people inside pickup truck cab= recipe for 5 HIGH people prone to breaking stufff
Bowls breaking are just frustrating... I broke my first pipe in Mexico while on Acid, and all I could do was laugh.

I've never broken, or even dropped any of my pieces. I'm rather attached to them, so I make it a point to handle them carefully and keep them out of the way when I'm not smoking. However, I do have a pretty funny break story. My friend's mother walked in on us while we had a half-pound dumped out on a sheet of glass for sorting, just this MOUNTAIN of pot. One of the other guys there, who was currently in the middle of taking a huge bong rip was startled by the bitch's sudden yelling and dropped it on the floor - right next to my friend's XBox 360, which he'd purchased like two days before.
So, the bong shatters (it was a big one), there's water all over the floor and in/on the XBox, the room is now going to smell for ages because of said bong water, we've got his whore mom yelling at him for having pot, him yelling at his whore mom for making his friend drop the bong, and me trying not to laugh my balls off.

That's the sort of scene I would have paid money to watch unfold.
I think all I've personally broken was the replacement bowl for my roommates' and my original bong for our old apartment, and then my pipe (which was just set on a table and then bumped). But that pipe already had a mad chip inside the bowl. And it happened in Mexico, so it doesn't count!

Had an acrylic bong once, and whilst in a field my mates had managed to loose the bowl. I, wanting to set it on fire to mark the end of it's life (I couldn't clean it easily, so I wanted a new one, besides, I have a vape) poured alcohol into it, which did make it crack into pieces.

well i had a buddy once and i let him borrow my spare glass elbow... it was beautiful. red, black, and grey swirls. i had barely smoked out of it and the fucking crackhead that he was was cooking the resin off of my piece... shithead... my bowl... and he shattered the inside of the bowl. said he was just smoking out of it. yeah right. cooking my resin like it was a metal pipe. once again, fucker.
