Ok, so The Unseen, A Global Threat, UK Subs, and The Virus aren't some of the best punk bands (Rancid made two masterpieces in a row). But there are a billion other great punk-related bands. The Stooges "Funhouse" is one of the best stoner-punk albums ever.
But what do I know. I think the best band of all time is The Smiths.

Someone said Crass were hippies? DAMN STRAIGHT! Hippies calling themselves punks, nothin more. In fact, if it weren't for CRASS, then punk rock would never have been so damn political in the first place. Remember, fight Crass, not punk! Punk's not Dread(locks)!! YYYEEEEAAAAAHHHHH i reallly hate crass and their 90?s wannabe?s ANTI FLAG. all they do is fucking whine about how bad things are, but you know they have no fucking idea how hard it is to run a country and fix everything. punk was only political in the uk, in the us it had more of a "street" feel to it. you?re right, it got political after crass, but you know bands like that only whine about politics because they can?t think of any SOLUTIONS, only PROBLEMS... that?s all they can write about.

Shit, everybody's thinking too much. Take a breather. Punk's a fun thing for certain people, like myself, but people analyze it wayyy too much. Just live. Maybe that's something I learned during my first shroom trip. In terms of listening to punk music while tripping... it could be a nightmare. The only remotely punk band that I could listen to was Sublime singing Rivers of Babylon. Oh, and I also listened to The Misfits "Cough/Cool".. It's pretty trippy, with that creepy vaguely insect-sounding background beat. It would be very easy to get catapulted into a bad trip if you listened to punk music that made you feel angry, even if you normally like that feeling. Just stare at one of your posters, I'm sure you've probably got plenty. Now, there's an adventure.  It was quite neat to look at my Sublime poster when I tripped.

Punk was a movement that was specific to its time - late 70's. All the pop band shites you listen to are just a load of middle class wannabees - just like you.
