agar media humidity forming

i have just finished pouring a bunch of agar media petri dishes a couple of hours ago...and now i am gonna wait a few days to see if there is any contaminated plates...
there is humidity formed on the lids of the agar,... i read somwhere that u can store them upside down until ready to use...
is this a problem?,,and also should i wait a few days before introducing spores to the agar to make sure there are no contaminants..wouldent that increase my chances of them getting contaminated because they are exposed to the elements for longer...
they are currently sealed in tupperware contaners...

This happens quite often.
Nothing to worry about.

one of the things you can do to avoid condensation, other than making sure the beaker of agar is cooled enough that you can handle it without protective gloves, is to save the plastic sleeve the dishes came in and - after pouring - place the sleeve back over the dishes.
It'll act as a little thermal-insulator and slow the rate at which the dishes cool. The slower they cool, the less condensation will form...
As far as how long you can prepare them in advance, I'd love to know the definitive answer to that myself as I couldn't find anything through directed searches. I've always just prepared the plates I need within 48 hours of using, often as little as 12 hours ahead of time...

It is inevitable that you will get some H20 In your petri dishes. Cellular respiration will create water.

The moisture on the lid is caused by the temperature differential. Don't store dishes upside down. Inoculate as soon as the agar cools. There is no need to wait. RR
