You might find them locally at your True Value hardware store, however mine only had the pint ones available so I bought those and ordered the half pint jars online. Watch out for shipping and Kerr also makes them.

I'm still not sure how many of each I should get. I'm a first time grower, looking to eventually produce mass quantity.
Should I get a couple 6oz. jars, but mostly 9oz. jars? I don't have access to 8oz.
Also, how much does an 8QT. pressure cooker hold vs. a 6QT. Also, does it make a difference if it's aluminum vs. steel?
Is misting a terrerium 3 times a day, effective enough for a very high humidity?

an 8qt pressure cooker hold exactly 2 qts more than a 6qt pressure cooker
in all seriousness...i know a 16/17 qt pc can hold 24 1/2 pints so i imagine 8qt holds 12 and 6qt maybe a few less...hope this helps

and aluminum vs. steel....durability?? i mean you get what you pay for. a lot of the cheaper pcs have a sealing ring that can go to shit over time and have to be replaced. the nicer all american pcs have a metal on metal seal so theres nothing to replace. i would recommend getting a decent pc, its a bitch to spend the money on one for 1/2 pints then realize later you wanna do quarts but thatll itll take you a fucking year to pc all your qt jars in such a small pc....thats what happened to me haha

You'll hear a lot of ppl say growing quantity with cakes is not a good idea so you'll eventually have to case them, but since you're new to this, as I am, cakes will do ok and you'll gain some experience. If you don't have 8oz, get 6oz imo, some say 1/2 pint jars are better than pint so go smaller. AS far as I know, aluminum PC will do fine, I have an 8qt one and it gets the job done, I can fit about 8 full pint jars in there comfortably. If you want to keep humidity high and low maintenance, go with perlite and drill holes on all sides of terrarium.

thanks c0_hush, helpful indeed.
Am I pretty much forced to use hpoo/manure/soil for growing quantity?
What's the cleanest, most efficient method?
I have a ton of space in my living room(apt) to grow. Indoor humidity is roughly 60%, and average temp is 75-80degrees in F.
I'm definitely looking for a solution that DOES NOT attract bugs, as we have had a cockroach problem in the past.
Hope there's a solution for this, so I won't need 6-8 terrariums. Although, I wouldn't really mind.
