Has anyone had success with a G2G in a still air glove box?

I have a still air glove box without the gloves attached. I have one almost fully colonized quart rye jar, when it is fully colonized I plan on doing a G2G too 3 other jars. What would be the success rate be? Good idea or bad?
One of the reason I am doing this is the stuff I ordered from mycopath hasn't even shipped yet. When it gets here I plan on spawning the rye to a coir coffee mix then doing about 5-10 intro-bags.

I do agar to grain in a glove box and its fine .. you might do inoculation to .5 pint or 1 pint jars and see how they do then use the best of those to do G2G in a glove box you will be fine . I also have done grain to spawn in a GB and they are pinning now .. so yeah go for it .

I have to think SCRIPT that asshole has me distracted .... you can put about10 percent spawn to any amount of grain .. well 9o percent I believe.. if its sterile like it should be thats no problem ..I have to review RR's vids to get a definite answer . its really a small amount .. maybe 5 percent .. so thats like several table spoons of grain to a new qt jar .. thats about right .

I have done g2g open air, inside house, out in the garage, as well as in my kitchen in a glovebox, and of course in my flow hood. I haven't seen many more infections doing it sloppily. The key is moving quickly. As far as the spawn ratio, I inject lc's into pint jars for masters, and then use 1 pint jar for either 3 2/3 filled quart jars or 4 1/2 filled pint jars. My master pint jars are about 3/4 full when ready to transfer.

What is the purpose of a master grain jar? I only have enough grain to do 6 quart jars.

I had limited success with open air g2g transfers and no problems as of yet when working in my glove box. You should be fine as long as your glove box is clean and so are you.

Presumably this weakens the genetic characteristics of the mushroom? (keeping it going generation after generation)
Will spores in a print from a fruit growing from an isolate of a strain be more likely to produce with the isolate characteristics than the "original" multispore? (before the original isolation)
Sorry for going off topic, I was just curious, since you made the comment about it above... lol

No. A multispore is a multispore is a multispore. You are always going to get random results regardless of where you got the spores from.

I've had lots of success with g2g in the glovebox. I've also had success using agar media petri plates in a still air glovebox. Sterilize everything very well and you should be ok.
