Pan Cyan Help....

I have 3 quart jars gunna be ready in no more than a week. I've tried the pans before and was able to colonize the poo, but lost it all on the casing to cobweb... No fun. Any pointers, I got the cobweb covered, but should I use 2" of poo instead of 3-4" and should I case with the same poo instead of using 50/50? What about misting and humidification.. I've read plenty of contradicting posts and threads and would just love to see a flush or two of these guys.... I'll be using hpoo no compost.. Any suggestions are welcome... Thanks in advance. N

if you plan on using 3 qrts then use 3-4 of poop dont case with poo..case with something that has no nutes..such as peat moss or vermiculite
heres a helpful tip..
pan cyans like wet feet, but not wet heads.. wet heads can cause them to abort

I was gunna do one jar each so I don't put all my eggs in one basket I read that about keeping them moist.. To stop misting once pins appear.. Or was it don't mist UNTIL pins appear?? That's a tricky one lol. So 2" of poo with one jar should be plenty enough? Yeah, I use a 60/40 mix of Peat and mostly Verm for casing, but was reading to case with poo... Wasn't sure which to go with.

dont case with poo...its only going to colonize it rather than provide a humid enviroment that a case does... stop misting when pins appear
im sorry can you be more specific? 2 inches of poo?

I use trays and just measure the substrate up the sides... For cubensis I like to use 3-4" depth in the bottom... All in all it was about 1-6 ratio of spawn to bulk.... I used the same ratio for pans last time and was reading that they do better in smaller layers of substrate... say like 2" in my trays, but that would put me at a 1-4 ratio if not slimmer margins.. I hope I made sense

I have a friend out of country growing a bunch of pan cyans (cambodian) and he has about 12 quarts incubating right now. There were several failed jars but he has these all going about 70% after a shake. He hasn't grown these before, but he is familiar with their natural environment.
Having carefully examined a patty where these grew naturally, he decided on the following mix: make a mix that ultimately would a ratio after spawning of 1/3 hpoo (old and dry), 1/3 verm, and 1/3 spawn(plus oyster shell flour, 1 tbsp per gallon yield of sub, and a 1/4c oil per gallon). Wet to field capacity, and then fluff with fine hay until it has the consistency of semi fresh, rained on horse poo again.
He would then pack it into a few pots and pasteurize it, and on the big day he would mix it all together by hand and leave it uncased with wax paper over the top, making sure hay was protruding evenly through the substrate and the top and middle were all fluffy.
No FAE til pin time. Check em every two days if the rh of their area is above 80%. If they feel dry or are pulling away from the edges which is very bad early on, mist every where evenly across the sub and up the sides so it flows down the cracks. If the room stays warm and above 80% so you don't have to mess with them a lot, this guy said pins may come in a week, but no more then 2 1/2. We shall all see!

Would it be wise of me to drop temp to 75 for fruting or should I keep them around 80f?

Hmm, I couldn't say. The growing conditions of the mushrooms I see don't have much facility for temp changes, and average in the room is about 75-80, most of the 75 though. This is something I came upon when I first caught interest:
pan cyan strain temp variations
