My Grow Chamber (FAE question)

Ok so im soon going to be fruiting 1 0r 2 of the 3 cakes i made (1 is contam the other unsure)
here is what i did for an FC
i have a grey (opaque) sterilite bin that is about 18x16x16.. in the bottom is 8qt (dry measure) of pearlite i relized that perlite floats when i added the water under the perlite is a air stone and a fish heater i cut a hole in the lid for a single light bulb that will provide more than enough light. my only issue will be FAE.
im not sure how much FAE the airstone will provide.
I know FAE is important and im looking for advice in this matter.
The temp will stay between 76 and 80 if i leave the heater on
there is PLENTY of perlite for humidity..
so it comes down to FAE.. thoughts...

Temperature isn't terribly important, and the efficacy of your perlite is completely obliterated if you put it underwater; the only reason it's used is its large surface area. You'd like a few inches of moist perlite, not underwater perlite.
There's no way to answer "how much FAE will my bubbler give". It doesn't exchange air, just shuffle it around. If you have plenty of holes in your FC and quit putting your perlite underwater, you should be fine.

just drill plenty of holes, and i mean like boo coup holes in there in all the sides. I only did a row along the bottom on all sides for my first grow and never fixed it because I always have stuff in my FC. and plus I don't have a drill. get a drill becuase it is a bitch chipping away with a knife into a plastic storage bin.

You don't just wanna dump water in with your perlite. it's usually best to put the perlite in a strainer or something similar, run it under the faucet for a few minutes, then let it drain a little bit. Then you toss it into the bottom of your FC.

i use a bubbler stone in a pot of water in my fc as well as 2" of wet perlite and a row of holes in the lid , i have the actual box to the bubbler outside and this raises the humidity around 10-15% and my fc is only 12"x 15" so in a bigger tank you could use two or put a good bit of perlite in there aswell you can also have the pump in side the fc which will give more humidity due to the same air circulating but does not put fresh air in the fc so i opted the first option also due to the pump getting warm it raises the fc temp by 2 f which little as it sounds can get in that optimum fruiting temp if you are running low but i have two fc one bubbler in each combined with perlite works great im thinking of having one bigger fc aprox 24" sq so will prob put both bubblers in there my cakes are still bluing slightly from being dry but only with big fruits where as before i added the bubbler they were bruising all the time,

holes every two to three inches should be enough and you want your perlite moist but not saturated.. it can breed contams otherwise. ambient lighting is also enough. i light in the top may raise your fruiting temp too much. ideally it should be around 10 degrees cooler than incubating temp.

tempature is the thing that matters the least, I fruit at 66-71 which is way cooler than the 86 incubation temp. RR has posted before that colder tempatures make fruits take longer but do yield more. I have been having great sucess with using lower temps for fruiting as I am forced to live in the same room my FC is in.

For air exchange.. I rig up a clean air pump.. Use a fish air pump.. Stick it in a sealable, airtight container.. run the wires out of one side of the container and seal with silicone.. run the hose out the other side and seal with silicone.. Make an opening in the top either drill a whole bunch of holes or cut out a hole... Make sure you have enough room to fix a filter to the top.. Using tyvek or any other micron filter... seal the hole(s) on top with the filter and silicone it or cement it over the opening... This will pump CLEAN air into your FC and you wont have to worry about contams.. Perlite should be 2 inches... with 1 inch of sterile water with H2O2... This is the only way I like to introduce fresh air... Either this way or through my humidifiers... Fish pumps aint too expensive either... It's fool proof if you do it right.. It's not hard
