What do you think of this image?

Hello. Here's an abstract photomanipulation I made. I submitted it on a popular art website where I have a lot of other pictures but (lately) it seems very few people are viewing and even fewer commenting on my stuff, so to be candid this is partly about ego--which is not to imply I think this particular image is great or even good, it's more personal. The part that is not about ego is just artistic curiosity. P.S. I'll post a link to my other pictures if anyone wants.

Genuine responses are greatly appreciated, especially constructive(+specific, artistic) criticism.

meh, i don't think it's composed thoughtfully/intentfully, and I don't think the idea is developed to a level where it feels intentful either.
if you don't want an opinion on the piece, what are you looking for? a philosophical discussion?

It's true the only intent artistically was to make it abstract, and it's often difficult to critique abstract art because the content is deliberately ambiguous and open to interpretation. So the type of response I was looking for is beyond (though not exclusive to or even instead of) the immediate visceral/emotional, to form -- for instance the lighting, contrast, shapes, colors, and composition. It's easier to say how you feel about a piece than to explain why, which of course is something of a contradiction if the piece isn't meant to be explainable to begin with. But now I'm probably making this out to be more important than it actually is--and asking questions too specific for this particular forum. This image is not my favorite and is only special in what it represents to me personally, though aesthetically I'm still seeking specific suggestions on how it might be improved which was probably a mistake.
