Uncased rye fruits poorly, when if fruits at all. Ditto for wbs and any other grain. RR

The question was "has anyone", not "what do you think".
I have seen at least 5 cases were peeps claimed to fruit rye directly with decent success.
Not all of us need 100% harvest potential, after all, what are you doing with all the extra fruits?

His answer answered your question. Because he knows the outcome, he has obviously already done it... AND with information on how it turns out.

I only meant to solicit peeps who had had success.
What is the point of a thread with 50 "no, it won't work" posted to it.
I am sure many people will say no, I was looking for peeps who HAVE had SUCCESS.

If rye will fruit without a casing, then why not in a cake, safe from contams?

How do you determine success?
So far, no one has said it won't work, because that's not true.

I've never been one to do cakes. Even when I did BRF/Verm jars, I crumbled them into a pan and cased it.
The following is straight WBS crumbled and cased.

Either way, whether it's BRF/verm, or any type of grain, I recommend putting it in a pan and casing it.

No it wasn't a joke, the truth is, some peeps are hobby growers for personal consumption ONLY.
Since most fruits will go bad in about 30-60 days, or at least they will lose potency, what is the point of growing more than you can consume?

I answered your question using common courtesy and respect, and based upon experience. I don't make this shit up. If I answer a question, it IS based on experience. Why you chose to go off on a tangent and get pissy I'll never know. I suggest you return the courtesy and respect that is shown to you or you'll not get far around here. RR

i've done it ONE time successfully, but, i had to mix in a lot of verm with the rye, so it would hold moisture, grains don't hold moisture for very long when exposed to lots of FAE, regardless of rh %. So,
RogerRabbit summed it up best really.

nah no flamefest, RR is right, quit being so disrespectful to respected members that offer you a completely valid answer, and sum it up as to WHY it's the right answer.
there are times it gets on my nerves, seems today, RR Is tired of it himself.

WOW, you are always ready to throw down huh Rog? Chill out man, you need to get more sleep...nothing I said was disrespectful to anyone.
Why are you always so crabby? Couldn't you just ignore me please?
What tangent? What pissy? Grow up man, and stop feeling like EVERY SINGLE PERSON online has to BOW DOWN TO YOU.
Hey I have an idea, let's scrap the Shroomery all together and let's everyone BUY Roger's bible!
Oh yeah, the Shroomery makes tones of money via advertising, all of which is created by US, not YOU!
