out of town for a couple of days.....
    #7618223 - 11/10/07 10:54 AM (16 years, 2 months ago)

I am out of town over the weekend (6pm fri-about3pm sunday) visiting family. I left 4 pinning cakes in my shotgun fc. I gave them a good misting and left the lid cracked about an inch along one side when I left.

I live in the south so the natural humidity is relatively high and the perlite is doing its job also..

Should I worry about coming home to problems?

Thanks,
M

It will probably dry out before you get back, it'd be a much better idea to just keep it closed so no humidity gets out.. CO2 sits at the bottom of the FC anyway.

The lid really isn't cracked much....

He is wrong. If you've got plenty of hole then the FAE will be good and unless there's a fan blowing directly at the FC 3-4" of damp perlite will keep the RH up for a long time with no misting or fanning. Sure it's helpful to mist and fan but not critical.

Relax, don't worry, have a homebrew.
