Wrap it in tinfoil, stick it in the fridge, and it will last a good long time.
Leave it lying around in the sun and it will go bad.

I suspect the fridge will introduce moisture moisture has to be avoided more than anything else. air tight in the dark is good, like a drawer - even your wallet.

yes, acid goes bad. Store it in temperatures of below 40F in the dark and it will last a while. Usually acid is best stored in it's original form (liquid), in a glass vial, wrapped in tin foil, in the refrigerator. If it gets repeated exposure to heat and light it will lose potentcy. If you didn't invest $200+ dollars in a vial of acid and you only have hits of it on blotter paper or what have you, it would be wise to take the acid as soon as you're ready to.

We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter." --Max Planck

It's amazing how many people choose to store LSD in foil.. That shit degrades it over time.

By keeping the acid dark and moisture free it degrades over time?

I was under the impression tin foil protects it and doesn't absorb the chemical.

I usually put the foil inside a ziplock baggy inside another ziplock bag to make sure its safe from moisture.

LSD is probably best not stored in liquid, though if it is stored in liquid, the conditions for pH are specific (I believe they should be slightly acidic but I will have to look that up). LSD is more sensitive to forming the hydrated form of LSD when stored in liquid and exposed to UV (I think it is called lumi-LSD).
Below 40F seems like an arbitrary number. Despite what Shulgin says in TIHKAL, LSD is not an especially sensitive molecule. Room temperature is probably fine as long as it is not exposed to oxygen, far UV, water and heat.

Yeah uhm, i have answered this question myself, and I have seen it posed a 100 times atleast.
I am reminded of a 1950's vintage uncracked vial containing crystaline LSD that they did not notice ANY REAL DEGRADATION.
Dry and dark is optimal. If it is on blotter it should have been dried properly and should be pretty stable.
I do not buy liquid acid because it can go to shit pretty quick.
Look it up, for christ sake half the information on this thread is already MISINFORMATION.
People on the street don't know shit about shit, and sadly there has to be a lot of people off the street on here. Just how things work.

it does have a shelf life but if you store it right it will last many months.
i have some blotters that ive been storing for several months and they are only slightly less potent than they used to be, if at all.

I know this thread was created months ago, but anywho I will give my .02's worth
"I suspect the fridge will introduce moisture moisture has to be avoided more than anything else. air tight in the dark is good, like a drawer - even your wallet."
"It's amazing how many people choose to store LSD in foil.. That shit degrades it over time."
and
"I was under the impression tin foil protects it and doesn't absorb the chemical."
I thought this would be the case especially when I realized that I had to store it in a loaf of bread, inside a single piece from which I removed a circle to place the tabs. I had to do it that way because I am keeping it all under-wraps from the people I live with, ya know?
The tabs were placed in the loaf of bread with tinfoil which was wrapped in tissue paper, and the bread had water condensing throughout it of course although it was mostly ice and not really "runny" liquid, still moisture though, but the tissue paper was probably able to absorb whatever moisture.
I read a story about a guy who had washed down the tabs he took with water out of a container made of aluminum and he had a bad experience from a batch that was already verified to be good and he had concluded it must be the aluminum that interferes dramatically with the integrity of the molecules.
After reading that I was very reluctant to take the tabs I had, but I did anyways and it was fine, nothing seemed to be different based on the fact that they were wrapped in tinfoil
I imagine if it were just stored in a container in the fridge and you wrap it in tissue paper moisture wouldn't ever be a problem.
I took a regular dose of the tabs and they were fully potent, FULLY potent I say.

Can you point to a link? Are you talking about LSD Purity
The consensus of those who took the doses was that there was no noticeable loss of potency but who knows how accurate the participants could be?
