Water mysteriously got in jars

So i just pressure cooked 2 quart jars of popcorn seed. I didnt screw the lids down completely tight so steam could vent out and i wrapped foil over the tops. I punched a hole in the center and used a tyvek disk.
After removing the jars from the pressure cooker and inspecting the bottoms of the jars there seems to be about 1/8 an inch of standing water in there and the corn seed seems way to wet to be inoculated.
Any suggestions or recommendations on if i can still use these jars?
What happened? my guess is by not putting the lids on tightly pressurized steam squeezed past the threads and condensated inside of the jars whenever they were cooled inside of the pressure cooker.

I would suggest you just go ahead and use them, I think they will just take longer to inoculate. One suggestion is to start the spores in sterilized corn syrup (KARO or similar store brand) for a couple weeks, shaking this mixture. this will allow the mycelium to start to grow, although it might not be necessary. the worst that happens is they just dont ever inoculate, right? i assume you have grown before and have "free" spores?

I wouldn't waste the syringe if you had to buy the spores, it would probably be cheaper to make more substrate. Also... the water sloshes and froths a lot in the PC.. might want to make sure you got the jars well above water level.

yea def dont try and innoc them if you have an 1/8" of water in them.
did you open your pc right after they were done? or take the ratteler off to let the steam escape? i was told that if you do this it will cause water to condensate in your jars. could be your problem. and like Nec said make sure thaey are well out of the water. you only need about 3/4- 1" of water.

The worst that can happen is that they go bacterial and very wet substrate often does.

^ what about adding damp rid into a pressure cooker and putting the jars in the container?
that way wont the water migrate from the jars through the filter and into the drying agent?

Most likely it will turn the substrate barren long before it manages to aid the issue with the water in the bottom.
