yes!
    #7615897 - 11/09/07 03:57 PM (16 years, 2 months ago)

just got the results of my last two exams in and they were both B's (with one being turned into an A once my extra credit comes through).  It's so nice to have a semester where im doing well in all of my classes.  Spent the last week working my ass off and now that i finally have my grades in i can relax for the wkd and not have to worry about school.

life is sweet.

no, what's laughable is the fact that im a senior, have a degree in networking technologies, was/is a network administrator, and they still make me take an intro to IS class in my senior year.

that's what's laughable. Extra credit is just icing, it's not often you see someone offer it, so when it happens you jump on it.

I was about to say...any college that gives extra credit doesn't have much respect for itself. Intro classes if they are a core requirement I guess it's ok though, since some people there might be taking it as an elective.

Dude it's college why should you get extra credit? Do the work the first time. It defeats the point of learning if you have a backup. No self-respecting professor I've ever had gives extra credit out. Actually no professor ever.

Right. Anyways I've seen multiple bonus questions and extra credit assignments over the years in a science curriculum and I'd never think anything is wrong with extra credit...surprising to see such a reaction..extra credit is for students who wish to put in extra work to get an extra reward and usually involves a topic that is additional to lecture material, not part of it. Funny

I go to a somewhat respectable, albeit public, university, and I've had extra credit opportunities both in class relating to the material, as well as out of class extra credit through lots of volunteer work, etc.

sucks for you not getting offered any

I go to osu and I got extra credit in one of my classes. I guess beinig in the top 15 engineering schools in the nation(public and private) is a bad school?

I'm in a science curriculum too. If you really want to put the extra effort in you don't need that extra credit in the first place. Why would you have it in the science curriculum? It benefits the diiots who don't do there work.

Which OSU? Because Ohio State is 26 not 15. Yes, extra credit makes absolutely no sense.

Actually extra credit sometimes stimulates more interest in things outside of class, at least that is what our extra credit has been in my classes. Or if say you go support a professor at one of their lectures.

Great to hear coda, keep it up. I'm gonna graduate in the summer.
