I have two half pint BRF cakes that I birhted a few days ago and placed in my FC on the jar covers so that they don't get waterlogged from the wet perlite. I have a baking pan with a PESA casing that is fruiting next to it. Now I know that I can't mist the casing because it is already fruiting and it will kill the pins by misting.
But am I supposed to mist the BRF cakes directly?? Or just until they pin or what?
Thanks Katfish

You don't mist either directly... My suggestions is to spray the fine mist all of the wall of your FC so they are dripping... Then pump a few mists in the air above the casings and cakes... It wont hurt you unless you don't have a fine mist on your mister mister. You just want to introduce the mist into the environment... You don't want to directly mist any casing or cake.. I hope that helps. The Werd

If you have perlite and water... You shouldn't have to do any misting to either except maybe once a day... Air exchange needs to happen 3-4 times a day though so...

Mist at an angle so that the mist makes an arch before gently landing on your cakes, that should be fine.

ok cool i just thought the naked cakes might be different. They have only been in there like 3 days so I am waiting about 10 more days for pins probably. I can't wait to see how the pins form on these South Africans, I just found out the South African and Transiki are the same so I should get some weird stubby lookin guys
